Deconstructing Stigma

McLean Hospital

What if you could walk down a hallway and see yourself in someone else’s story?

Deconstructing Stigma is a powerful photo and storytelling exhibition created by McLean Hospital, featuring real people—including public figures like NFL player Keith O’Neil, Broadway star Patti Murin, and news anchor Dan Harris—who bravely share their experiences with mental illness. Through their honest words and striking portraits, the exhibit invites visitors to challenge shame, feel less alone, and see mental health struggles in a new light.

What if sharing your story could help someone else feel seen for the very first time?
